We are seeking a highly driven, organized, and inquisitive team member to join our growing Platform Solutions & Operations team as a Platform Operations SVP to lead Post-Trade Alternative Investment delivery efforts. This role is responsible for leading the CAIS Platform Operations across the Post-Trade alternative investment lifecycle, overseeing daily operations, business analysis, and the management of a global team. Key responsibilities include optimizing processes, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, providing expert support to clients and partners, and driving high-impact projects. The role also involves strategic oversight, managing risk mitigation, and enhancing operational efficiencies while maintaining strong client relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business development and client needs. Additionally, the individual will play a critical role in driving automation, facilitating communication, and shaping long-term platform strategy.

Responsibilities  

  • Lead CAIS Platform Operations activities across the Post-Trade alternative investment lifecycle including:  
    • Manage delegation and prioritization of daily BAU data and document processing, including activities like distributions, capital calls, valuations, subscriptions/commitments, transfers and redemptions 
    • Ensure SLAs are met, and team is staffed sufficiently
    • Perform business and data analysis to troubleshoot problems, support data driving decisions, and develop reports and dashboards
    • Provide timely, professional, and accurate support to clients and partners
    • Implement solutions to optimize Platform Operations
  • Manage a sizeable global team of platform operations analysts  
  • Serve as an escalation point for your line of business
    • Serve as a subject matter expert to your clients to help them to determine priorities, provide recommendations for scope/solutions and follow best practices
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or enhance existing processes. Submit and oversee resolution of technology and operations requests including configuration, enhancements, and break-fix issues according to client specifications during the testing process and immediately following launch, with minimal supervision 
  • Lead and manage high-impact projects from initiation to completion, ensuring team execution and delivery of tactical business targets while providing strategic oversight, defining project scope, developing business requirements, and leveraging industry knowledge to deliver optimal solutions and align client needs with company strategy
  • Predict and manage resources needed to meet business requirements of achieving stakeholder objectives and ensuring satisfaction without oversight from manager or project sponsor   
    • Anticipate future needs of team and build business cases to escalate to management
  • Maintain project tracking tools and other internal and external resources, including Confluence, SharePoint, and Airtable, to ensure deadlines are met   
  • Identify project risks and collaborate with management and stakeholders to plan and execute mitigation strategies
  • Effectively and proactively communicate project status to stakeholders and manage expectations with executive level management
  • Articulate long-term vision and proactively manage strategic communications to guide high-level delivery and operations
  • Build high-impact relationships within firm and client base; maintain strong external networks
  • Work alongside Platform Product Management, Marketing and/or Strategy to create client and partner facing collateral on new solutions.  Collect and define content to be included in training and self-service materials (integration/user guides), detailed platform experience for similar clients as well as broader wins/lessons learned to be used in future sales discussions
  • Engage with clients and/or partners collaborating cross-functionally to propose and secure new strategic business opportunities and solutions
    • Act as strategic advisor in client/partner engagements; shape and lead solution proposals for significant accounts/partners
    • Support business development calls and draft sales-oriented presentations geared toward specific client needs based on your domain of expertise
    • Engage in pre-sales sales support activity (art of possible, how platform works, define best solution) based on priorities and as assigned via direction from leadership  

Qualifications  

  • 8+ years of experience in alternative investment operations  
  • Extensive alternative fund knowledge/experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related discipline required
  • Experience leading a global team 
  • Experience with data analysis applications such as excel, SQL, and Tableau
  • Experience learning and applying new applications to build solutions, especially with GenAI
  • Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to continuous professional development and improvement of the team
  • Excellent relationship management aptitude and attitude
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and comfort learning new application/tech as needed
  • Experience with project management applications such as Airtable, Jira, Asana, Monday or similar planning and tracking applications.
  • Prior experience in a small to mid-sized firm or startup environment preferred

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in New York, New York, the base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
