Job Intro
We're looking for a legal professional to join us to achieve our global mission of building a world-class platform where talents can meet career opportunities easily in this digital era. Cake's Legal Department is a global team that will require working with diverse international colleagues in Taiwan, SEA, and regions across the world. The successful candidate will be someone who is adaptable, collaborative and embodies Cake's values. Candidates will be required to approach complex legal issues with a balance for local and global perspectives, while being adaptable to cultural differences.
Salary
700,000 ~ 1,500,000 TWD / year
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the management team and collaborate with teams across the company including business, marketing, people, product, and others to keep our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and commercial and employment contract updated.
- Conduct fact-finding investigations, gather information, and identify documents/data to preserve and collect in response to discovery or internal investigations.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on specific assignments, review preliminary advice, and assist with providing internal recommendations.
- Support or drive case management including managing specific workflows, task lists, status updates, timing, and overall case organization.
- Support or drive projects related to tooling, process, or policy improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in legal work in a law firm, government, or in-house legal department.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written)
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working on complex internet technology, SaaS or general litigation (e.g., copyright, privacy, antitrust).
- Understanding of Cake or related applications.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently manage numerous cases and projects under time-sensitive deadlines.
- Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
