(Food Ingredients) Sales Manager

Ho Chi Minh, Viet Nam

COMPANY PROFILE: Executive recruitment specialist company - Cake Global Consulting is recruiting on behalf of our clients in the food ingredient, flavour, fragances trading industry.

LOCATION: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop impactful sales and marketing proposals by creating persuasive sales and marketing suggestions by keeping the supervisor informed about business performance and placing follow-up calls.
  • Maintain and expand Vietnam's customer base by managing sales duties, attracting new clients, and cultivating connections with current ones.
  • Make tactical plans that are in line with country strategy by utilizing trends, market knowledge, and pertinent external business partners' strategies.
  • Make sure goals are met by spearheading the efficient execution of tactical plans.
  • Develop and maintain a professional rapport with distributors, important and possible business partners, and future or high-volume clients.
  • Achieve business projections and sales goals by keeping an eye on market sales activity and adjusting as needed.
  • Enhance sales potential by working together with suppliers and supervisors to design products and give technical advise to customers.
  • Utilize sales expertise in the areas of emulsifiers, stabilizers, flavors, sweeteners, and seasonings for clients in the processed meat, dairy, instant noodle, and seafood industries.
  • Travel as required to meet business objectives and client requests.
  • Participate independently and proactively in the goals and plans of the organization.
  • Fulfill any ad hoc or additional work assigned by management or the supervisor in order to keep the firm running smoothly.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • A strong network of food producers in the Vietnam market
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally within the food ingredients industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in food science/science/food technology or equivalent
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales and marketing proposals.
  • Experience in managing sales operations in Vietnam, with a focus on maintaining and expanding a customer base.
  • Solid understanding of market trends, competitor strategies, and external business partner activities.
  • Expertise in sales of emulsifiers, stabilizers, flavors, sweeteners, and seasonings for dairy, beverages, instant noodles, processed meat, and seafood industries (for food-focused role).
  • Sales experience in fragrances and surfactants within the personal care and homecare segments.
