
R&D Deputy Manager (Furniture)
COMPANY PROFILE: Cake Global, an executive recruitment specialist, is hiring on behalf of a leading furniture manufacturer.
JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and proactive R&D Deputy Manager to lead and manage new product development projects in the export furniture and steel product manufacturing industry. This role involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of new products, ensuring compliance with market trends, company strategies, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical design, strong leadership abilities, and a track record in R&D management.
Location: Ha Noi
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute new product development plans based on market trends and company strategy.
- Manage new product development, improvements, and ensure timely solutions.
- Oversee product documentation and coordinate with production engineering to supervise samples and improve product manufacturing.
- Build a design database for export products and organize internal training on product information and standards.
- Draft and control product-related documents (processes, forms, standards) and collaborate with departments on production processes.
- Research and improve packaging design, focusing on cost optimization.
- Manage and develop the R&D team, report to the R&D Manager, and ensure efficient team performance.
- Collaborate with the Quality Management team to establish material and product quality standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of machinery in wood/metal manufacturing, precision mechanical machines, and pressure processing.
- At least 2 years of experience in R&D management roles in the furniture/steel product export industry.
- Proficiency in 2D/3D design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Photoshop).
- Ability to read and translate English technical documents.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, creativity, and presentation skills.
- High responsibility, discipline, and ability to handle pressure.
