Senior Python Engineer at a Multi-national Fintech company

Cake, a professional recruitment consulting firm in Asia, is supporting an international fintech company in hiring a talented senior Python engineer.

Our client is looking for an experienced Middle/Senior Python Developer to lead and mentor junior developers on projects while contributing to various development tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with a diverse team including designers, business analysts, and engineers to conceptualize, architect, and implement high-quality software products in a production environment.
• Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python.
• Stay abreast of and effectively adopt new programming languages and technologies as needed.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues proactively.
• Deliver robust software solutions in a fast-paced environment, adhering to demanding deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in backend development, with an emphasis on Python; proficiency in Java is a strong advantage.
• Expertise in SQL and NoSQL database management and design; experience with DynamoDB is a notable plus.
• Familiarity with AWS services, including but not limited to CloudFront, ECS, S3, API Gateway, Lambda, ALB/NLB, and DynamoDB, with skills in their configuration.
• Proven experience in building distributed systems utilizing microservices architecture and event-driven design; knowledge of AWS serverless architecture is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
• Strong understanding of industry best practices in software development, including version control, code reviews, and automated testing.
• Ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
• Proficient in English, with strong communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly.
• Prior experience in the banking or fintech domain is a plus.
