COMPANY PROFILE: Executive recruitment specialist company - Cake Global Consulting is recruiting on behalf of our client in the agriculture chemical industry. We are collaborating confidentially with a CEO in finding a head of the marketing department.
LOCATION: HCM - Travel frequently to Kien Giang
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced Head of Marketing with a deep understanding of the crop protection industry to drive both below-the-line (BTL) marketing initiatives and, ideally, above-the-line (ATL) strategies. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to promote our range of agrochemical products, focusing on direct engagement with farmers across covered provinces and leveraging both modern and traditional marketing techniques to boost brand visibility and sales. Your role will be crucial in merging traditional selling styles with contemporary approaches, ensuring that our marketing aligns with the practical needs of the agricultural community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Public Relations & Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement PR/marketing strategies with a strong emphasis on BTL marketing, such as direct communication with farmers, community events, and networking.
- Event Planning & Execution: Organize and oversee marketing events, field demonstrations, and farmer outreach programs across provinces to raise awareness of our products.
- Brand Promotion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and execute brand promotion strategies, merging both traditional and modern marketing techniques.
- Farmer Engagement: Foster relationships with farmers, agronomists, and agricultural associations to strengthen the company’s market presence and drive product adoption.
- Media Relations: Manage relationships with both local and industry-specific media outlets to ensure the company’s products and achievements are well-represented.
- Above-the-Line Marketing (Preferred): Assist in ATL activities such as digital campaigns, television, and print media to enhance the company’s public image and product reach.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development, and technical teams to ensure PR efforts are aligned with business goals.
- Crisis Management: Lead crisis communication efforts as necessary, protecting the company’s reputation and responding to any public relations challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in PR, marketing, or communications, ideally within the crop protection, agrochemical, or agribusiness sectors. Candidates with extensive experience in FMCG, retail, etc. are also welcome to apply.
- Marketing Expertise: Strong background in below-the-line marketing with experience in above-the-line marketing being a plus.
- Agrochemical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the agrochemical industry, including the challenges and opportunities faced by farmers.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Event Management: Proven ability to plan and execute successful large-scale events, conferences, and networking engagements.
- Networking & Relationships: Strong network within the agricultural sector, including relationships with key opinion leaders, farmers, and industry professionals.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively across provinces and rural areas to engage with farmers and customers directly.
- Travel: Ability to travel frequently to Kien Giang to support field activities and engage with local stakeholders.
