Country Manager - A Global Leader in Life Science Industry

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage the establishment of in-country infrastructure and enactment of the go-to-market (GTM) model to construct a solid first-step foundation in Vietnam’s market.
  • Lead and innovate commercial in-country strategies across all divisions to increase customer value creation and market share gains with business optimization and distributors’ performance in the country.
  • Deliver and track strategic performance and growth targets with in-country goals and annual operational plans to ensure overall business profitability, customer experience, and human resource development.
  • Plan to anticipate opportunities and mitigate risks of business by defining and analyzing economic industry trends
  • Manage and form strong partnerships with government relations and global divisions to achieve a high-quality partnership network for the business.
  • Collaborate with HR for the employment model and high-performance leadership team with a strong pipeline of all levels across functions to enhance human resource sustainability.
  • Represent the business at various events in Vietnam to sharpen brand identity and build up the business network.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in establishing new infrastructure or start-up business to adapt and win new business markets, especially building up in-country infrastructure or go-to-market strategy.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing innovative commercial strategies, optimizing business performance, and managing distributor networks to drive market share growth.
  • Strong experience in delivering and tracking performance against strategic growth targets, aligning annual operational plans with business goals, and ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and human resource development.
  • Expertise in analyzing economic and industry trends to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and develop proactive business strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in managing government relations and building strong regional and global partnerships.
  • Extensive experience in overseeing financial performance and management, including P&L responsibilities, budget oversight, capital allocation, and treasury management, with exposure to complex financial situations such as restructuring and funding acquisitions.
  • Skilled in synergy and human management, collaborating with HR to build a strong leadership team and talent pipeline.
  • Passion for the Biotechnology and Healthcare industry, including business model and portfolios to represent the company to customers, suppliers, investors, government bodies, industry groups, and the community, and acting as a spokesperson for the organization.
