We're looking for a Staff Product Designer to own and lead our Design System. You’ll impact millions of users through building a system that scales quality, usability, and accessibility across our growing suite of products. As a key player in shaping the user experience, your work will directly impact our users' satisfaction and the success of our products.
We believe that great design starts with talking with our users and that the best solutions come from interdisciplinary collaboration. You’ll be part of Calendly’s incredible Design team, collaborating with Product Designers, Content Designers, UX Researchers, and a dedicated Frontend Engineering team.
A day in the life of a Staff Product Designer owning Design Systems at Calendly
On a typical day, you will:
- Own and lead our Design System, improving the foundation and introducing new components, patterns, and tools.
- Improve and scale quality, usability, consistency, and accessibility across our products.
- Collaborate with Designers, Engineers, Content Designers, Researchers and leadership to align Design Systems work to user needs, company strategy, and the product roadmap.
- Conduct and collaborate on user research to test usability and iterate based on user feedback.
- Build useful processes and tools for internal teams, including creating and maintaining libraries, patterns, templates in Figma.
- Champion product excellence, coaching designers and stakeholders on best practices, including being a key participant in design crits.
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusion through the Design System, in order to make our product accessible to a diverse range of users.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years relevant experience, delivering high quality and impactful design systems across growing, multi-product companies.
- A strong portfolio of work showcasing the design systems you’ve developed.
- Outstanding UI, UX and visual design craft, with attention to detail.
- A systems thinking mindset that understands how to scale impact.
- Ability to balance business goals, team process, and user needs.
- Ability to distill complex problems into simple and understandable solutions, and effectively communicate those solutions to both leaders and peers.
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time.

The ranges listed below are the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
Calendly takes a number of factors into consideration when determining an employee’s starting salary, including relevant experience, relevant skills sets, interview performance, location/metropolitan area, and internal pay equity.
Base salary is just one component of Calendly’s total rewards package. All full-time (30 hours/week) employees are also eligible for our Quarterly Corporate Bonus program (or Sales incentive), equity awards, and competitive benefits.
Calendly uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location, or the onsite building location if hybrid, to determine which metropolitan pay range we use. Current geographic zones are as follows:
- Tier 1: San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, New York City, NY
- Tier 2: Chicago, IL, Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, PA, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Miami, FL, and all other cities in CA.
- Tier 3: All other locations not in Tier 1 or Tier 2

$188,800 - $255,200 USD
Tier 2 Salary
$173,000 - $234,000 USD
Tier 3 Salary
$157,300 - $212,700 USD
