Summary
Under the command of the Undersheriff, Captain and direct supervisors of a Lieutenant or Sergeant, Law Enforcement Officers will perform various duties to ensure public safety and enforcement of Federal, State, and Local Laws.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include supervision and control of inmates within the housing units, corridors and work areas at the Calhoun County Correctional Center. Enforces rules of conduct, assists in averting riots and escapes through routine inspections.
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to comply with all Michigan Commission On Law Enforcement Standards (M.C.O.L.E.S.) www.michigan.gov/mcoles and be certified or certifiable at the time when eligible candidates apply.
- Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Schedule Information
- 12 hour shifts
- Every other weekend off

Wage Range
$30.46 - $36.66 USD
