Summary
Under the general direction of the Division Director, performs a variety of duties within a team environment and provides support and assistance to the manager and clients.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Ordering of all vaccines and process all vaccine returns.
- Monitor storage of all vaccines.
- Maintain vaccine inventory, documentation and distribute medical/program- specific supplies.
- Complete vaccine related reports and log.
- Maintain the Vaccine Management Plan.
- Respond after hours for storage emergency if necessary.
- Maintain rapport with schools and childcare centers.
- Assist schools and childcare centers with questions, creating rosters and School Immunization Reporting System (SIRS) Reporting.
- Maintain contact log of communications with schools and childcare centers.
- Share important information with schools and childcare centers.
- Monitor state Vaccine Information Statement (VIS) dates.
- Maintain administrative workflow by studying methods, implementing cost reductions, and developing reporting procedures.
- Maintain rapport with other programs by researching and developing new services and methods and resolving problems.
- Input relevant data into databases through a variety of data collection systems.
- Track contractual service, creating reports as needed.
- Participate in team and general staff meetings.
- Participate in public health quality programs (e.g., Quality Improvement, Quality Assurance, Quality Control).
- Participation in emergency exercises and training required.
- Assess own needs for professional growth and participates in education that increases knowledge and skills in area of responsibilities.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures and maintains client confidentiality.
- Provide front desk coverage as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge normally acquired through the completion of an Associate's Degree or a combination of education experience.
- Minimum of one year of related experience required; three years of experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office and data entry skills. Must become proficient in program-related software within 90-180 days contingent on the software.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Skills necessary to effectively manage program assignments and daily operations.
- Maintain program specific required certifications, if applicable.
- Ability to multitask simultaneous projects requiring concentration and attention to detail with frequent distractions due to people or telephone calls.
- A valid Michigan driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and a personal vehicle including proof of vehicle insurance are required.

Hybrid Work Classification: On-site required
Flexibility Classification: Fixed Schedule
- Travel may be required.
- May have contact with infectious disease and exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
- On-call availability to respond to emergencies (e.g., program-related and public health emergencies).
- Extended workdays (beyond 8 hours/day) and weekends or holidays may be required.
Wage Range
$23.93 - $29.37 USD
