Office Administrator
About The Role:
The California Association of Food Banks is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Administrator. In this role, you will support our executive officers and ensure the smooth functioning of our downtown Oakland headquarters.
Work with the Leadership Team on administrative tasks, including but not limited to maintaining calendars and contact lists, scheduling and preparing meetings, preparing travel and expense reports. Assisting with donor outreach mailings, events, and creating presentation materials.
What You Will Do:
Assist with coordinating staff meetings, including meeting set up/breakdown, organizing refreshments, IT setup, and video conference initiation. Ensure meeting rooms have all the required equipment (chairs/tables/IT connections, etc.) and are always clean.
Manage office supply inventories, maintain office subscriptions and accounts, coordinate technical needs for the association (Zoom, conference line accounts, etc.), work with property management on announcements/needs, and various other office support responsibilities.
Provide on-site support, including coordinating vendor deliveries, maintaining office cleanliness, ordering food, performing basic kitchen maintenance, and handling other requests.
Interact with business service partners to ensure services for staff and office are on time, cost-beneficial, and up to date.

Adobe, Canva, MS 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Salesforce
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in an administrative, office, or operations support role, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds unassisted.
Education: Minimum AA degree, BA preferred, may substitute for two years of relevant work experience.
Location: This role is in downtown Oakland and requires on-site presence 3 days a week (Monday - Wednesday).
Compensation: Hourly rate is determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The budgeted annual salary range that CAFB expects to pay for this position is $26.45 - $27.75 per hour.
