The Position

CallRail is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and execution for our Text Messaging features, a critical component of our unified Omni-Channel experience.

In this pivotal role, you will define the vision and roadmap for positioning Messaging as a primary lead engagement tool. You will focus on enabling seamless transitions between text, calls, and automated workflows to extend our platform's capabilities far beyond traditional phone interactions.

The ideal candidate will act as the key liaison, collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-impact features and improvements that directly solve complex customer pain points. This position is ideal for a self-motivated leader who thrives at the intersection of product strategy and deep technical understanding, specifically across marketing analytics, workflow automation, cross-platform (web/mobile) feature parity, and the infrastructure required to power scalable, omni-channel communication tools. You will be responsible for both setting the product direction and rolling up your sleeves to ensure successful, collaborative delivery with technical and design partners.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Product Strategy: Define, own, and champion the Text Messaging roadmap, ensuring tight alignment with core business goals, validated customer needs, and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Drive Platform Evolution: Own the strategic direction of CallRail's messaging platform, driving scalable design patterns and ensuring feature parity and consistency across all workflows and established call features.
  • Lead Discovery and Insight: Conduct comprehensive discovery, including interviews with customers and stakeholders, to validate pain points and deeply inform innovative solution design.
  • Define and Specify Work: Write clear, concise, and actionable Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria, always balancing technical context with maximum customer value.
  • Manage the Backlog & Execution: Prioritize and manage the daily workflow and backlog with a sprint team of engineers and designers, ensuring the execution meets the timing needs of the market.
  • Execute Cross-Functional Delivery: Drive end-to-end feature delivery by collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, Partnerships, and Go-to-Market teams.
  • Ensure Adoption & Launch Success: Partner with GTM teams (Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience) to ensure smooth, successful launches, robust user education, and widespread feature adoption.
  • Define and Track Success: Continuously monitor success metrics, product health, and user feedback to refine and evolve the offering, and report regularly on findings and next steps.
  • Be the Domain Expert: Stay ahead of the curve on omni-channel technologies and communication trends and serve as the primary representative for the Messaging domain during planning cycles and executive updates

What You'll Need

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a strong focus on omni-channel tools, marketing analytics, or platform-oriented work.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong technical depth, comfortable reading API documentation, and meticulously scoping technical edge cases with engineering partners.
  • B2B SaaS Background: Experience delivering B2B SaaS products, especially with tools supporting marketing analytics, communication, or customer engagement platforms.
  • Prioritization & Clarity: Demonstrated ability to define and prioritize work with clarity, balancing business and complex user needs along with technical feasibility.
  • Agile Collaboration: Direct experience working within Agile teams and successfully collaborating with engineers and designers in fast-paced, iterative environments.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating product concepts and influencing stakeholders across all roles and seniority levels.
  • Tool Proficiency: Familiarity and proficiency with product management and analytics tools (we use: Jira, Confluence, Miro, Looker, Fullstory, and Figma).

If you do not meet all the requirements listed, we still encourage you to apply! No job description is perfect, and we may also have another opportunity that aligns with your skills and experience.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
