Plumbing Service Technician

 Location: DMV Area

POSITION OVERVIEW: The service plumber is an effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills.  The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong work ethic and dedication to the company’s core values. The Service Plumber works closely with the service manager. This person must be willing to work flexible hours, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be equipped with strong time management and problem-solving skills to tackle numerous challenges.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Run service calls of various degrees of complexity and difficulty
  • Maintain and repair Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration equipment
  • Provide emergency services to the entire service area (when necessary)
  • Maintain truck stock and inventory
  • Follow truck maintenance schedule and keep an organized and clean truck/workspace
  • Perform general maintenance on cooling towers, pumps, VFD drives, RTU’s, AHU’s, ductless splits, boilers, chillers, etc.
  • Communicate effectively with customer and office team regarding work needed or performed
  • On-Call Schedule required

Follows all guidelines, policies, and procedures established by the company

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a commercial plumbing service technician
  • Customer focused
  • Understanding of MD, DC & VA commercial market
  • Experience in industrial, government, healthcare, commercial and public facilities
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
  • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof-reading skills and follow-up effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through
  • Ability to use application and computer programs

Education/Experience:                                                          

  • High School diploma or GED
