- Prepare a variety of sales and income tax returns
- Register clients with various state agencies
- Research and resolve inquiries from tax jurisdictions and clients
- Be highly responsive to clients and various government tax agencies regarding notices and requests for information
- Apply critical thinking to research nexus, sourcing, and taxability for all jurisdictions in various industries
- Remain current on new tax legislation and tax guidance from states
- Identify, assess, and document the tax implications of any such changes
- Assist clients with defending audits from various states
- Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements as needed for state and local tax purposes
- Assist clients with all state and local tax issues
- Ability to work on a wide range of state and local tax issues
Qualifications:
- Graduated or graduating college student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in accounting
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Ability to commute to one of our office locations
- Excellent interpersonal and computer skills
