Role Purpose
As a Principal Solution Architect, you will play a senior leadership role in translating capSpire’s data, digital, and AI strategy into practical client solutions.

Working in alignment with capSpire’s strategic technology and AI leadership, you will shape solution architectures, guide engineering teams, develop reusable capabilities, and lead the technical execution of strategic client engagements.

This is a client-billable role with influence beyond individual projects. Its primary focus is Databricks, data engineering, cloud data platforms, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and modern application architecture. Experience with energy, commodities, or ETRM platforms is beneficial but not required.

Solution and Execution Leadership
•    Translate capSpire’s technology, data, and AI strategy into executable solution architectures, delivery approaches, and client offerings.
•    Provide senior architecture and technical leadership across strategic client engagements.
•    Lead the technical execution of solutions involving Databricks, data engineering, cloud data platforms, analytics, and AI.
•    Work with capSpire’s strategic leaders to turn new ideas and market priorities into practical, commercially viable solutions.
•    Convert recurring client challenges into reusable frameworks, accelerators, reference architectures, and delivery patterns.
•    Establish and promote engineering standards, architecture principles, and implementation practices.
•    Provide design authority and technical governance for complex or strategically important engagements.
•    Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, supportable, and aligned with the intended business outcomes.
•    Support commercial and consulting teams with solution design, proposals, estimates, demonstrations, and client presentations.
•    Contribute technical insights to capSpire’s publications, demonstrations, webinars, and industry events.

Client Delivery
•    Serve in a client-billable architecture and technical leadership capacity on selected engagements.
•    Lead technical discovery sessions, architecture workshops, assessments, and implementation planning.
•    Design modern data platforms using technologies such as Databricks, Azure, AWS, data lakes, and lakehouse architectures.
•    Architect scalable approaches for data ingestion, transformation, integration, storage, governance, analytics, and reporting.
•    Guide the implementation of batch and real-time data pipelines, APIs, data products, enterprise integrations, and AI-enabled applications.
•    Translate business and strategic requirements into clear technical architectures and executable delivery roadmaps.
•    Guide engineering teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and operational transition.
•    Resolve complex architecture and engineering issues that arise during delivery.
•    Communicate technical decisions, risks, and recommendations clearly to executive, business, and engineering audiences.

Capability and People Leadership
•    Provide technical direction and mentorship to solution architects, data engineers, software engineers, and consultants.
•    Help teams apply capSpire’s strategic direction consistently across client solutions.
•    Review solution designs and provide practical guidance to delivery teams.
•    Build communities of practice around Databricks, data engineering, architecture, and AI solution delivery.
•    Develop reusable technical assets, standards, patterns, and implementation playbooks.
•    Support the growth of emerging architects and technical leaders through coaching, feedback, and meaningful project responsibilities.
•    Identify capability gaps and contribute to hiring, training, certification, and professional-development plans.
•    Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across projects, practices, and geographies.

Core Experience
•    Significant experience designing and delivering enterprise data and technology solutions.
•    Strong architecture experience with Databricks or comparable modern cloud data platforms.
•    Deep knowledge of data engineering, integration, modelling, governance, analytics, and cloud architecture.
•    Experience translating strategic direction into practical technical solutions and successful delivery.
•    Experience leading engineering teams through complex implementations.
•    Strong consulting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
•    Ability to balance architecture quality, client objectives, delivery constraints, and commercial considerations.
•    A track record of developing reusable solutions, technical standards, accelerators, or delivery practices.

Valuable Additional Experience
•    Generative AI, machine learning, or agentic solution implementation.
•    Energy, commodities, trading, or other data-intensive industries.
•    ETRM platforms and their surrounding data and integration ecosystems.
•    BI and visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
•    APIs, event-driven architecture, modern application development, and workflow automation.
