SUMMARY
Oversee Cancos Tile financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, while also providing strategic financial guidance and advice to the executive team. The candidate chosen for this role will be required to work onsite in Farmingville, NY.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare and review financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements)
    • Assist accounting team with month end close as needed (accruals, expense analysis, sales analysis)
    • Assist in reporting monthly financial results to corporate accounting team
    • Maintain accurate financial records
    • Work closely with the corporate finance team on projects
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Prepare monthly financial reports and ad hoc reports
    • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
    • Conduct financial modeling and analysis
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Develop and manage budgets for various departments or projects
    • Monitor actual performance against budget and identify variances
    • Prepare financial forecasts to anticipate changes in the business
  • Team Management and Supervision:
    • Provide guidance and support to finance and accounting team members
    • Ensure that all finance-related tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
  • Strategic Financial Advice:
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team
    • Support strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis and data
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business goals.
