
Southampton Showroom Manager
OVERVIEW
The Showroom Sales Leader will be responsible for all showroom/warehouse operations and sales performance as described below. This person is responsible for managing the branch’s daylily operations, while also working to achieve the branches sales goals and objectives.
Cancos Tile Southampton branch is a fast-paced environment which services a demanding, high end customer base. This person must be comfortable in this environment and able to develop strong lasting relationships with trade professionals such as Architects, Designers, Builders, and Homeowners.
This position reports directly to the Director of Retail Showrooms and has direct reports including multiple sales representatives, and a warehouse associate.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Achieve branch sales budget and all accomplish any objectives set forth by Director of Retail Showrooms.
- Manage the sales staff providing strong leadership, workload support, and feedback for development.
- Preforms required daily functions in accordance with company policy (Closing credit machine, ensure shipped orders are properly processed and closed out, Open orders, ect)
- Monitor, assess, and grow the branches sales and the trade customer base.
- Maintain a spotless showroom of the highest caliber.
- Identify outdated displays and suggest items to be addressed to have an up-to-date offering.
- Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
- Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner.
- Directly Assist customers with product questions and selections, including follow-up from order processing through delivery.
- Preform duties of others if they are not present to continue normal branch operations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Showrooms.

- Customers should be offered water, or coffee.
- Phones should always be answered, and call always returned.
- Responsible for the oversight and operation of the branch’s transactional warehouse operation including staffing schedule, neatness, accuracy of inventory, and operational oversight.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervises branch sales staff.
- Directly supervises Warehouse Associate.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of colleagues; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
- Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent leadership and management skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree and equivalent industry experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three years of experience in retail management position
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
