POSITION OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Picker/Receiver plays a key role in day-to-day warehouse and operations activities, ensuring all projects and tasks are performed to company standards. Experience operating a reach truck is essential and plays a critical role in this position, supporting efficient material handling, high-rack storage, and safe movement of goods. This position works closely with the Tile Warehouse Manager to maintain smooth workflow, safe delivery, and continuous improvement of warehouse operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate reach truck equipment to retrieve and store materials in high-rack locations, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Lead by example and ensure all work aligns with company standards.
- Collaborate daily with the Tile Warehouse Manager.
- Load and unload inbound/outbound trucks promptly.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations.
- Communicate any discovered or suspected material damage or inventory issues to the Tile Warehouse Manager.
- Pull and compile customer orders onto consolidated pallets.
- Wrap and band pallets for safe delivery.
- Assist with customer pickups, ensuring materials are safely loaded into residential vehicles.
- Work with coworkers to move large or awkward boxes and pieces.
- Participate in the container receipt process, including physical unloading and system inputs.
- Support the operations team on projects that improve and advance overall operations.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Availability to work Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm, and Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (50–75 lbs) regularly.
- At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts and reach machines.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Turret Truck experience preferred.
- Cherry Picking experience required.
