As part of the Purchasing department at our beautiful high-end production location in Almelo, you will be responsible for correct execution of the material requirements planning process and be the point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders. Working closely with your colleagues in Assembly, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Warehousing and Product Management, you'll be a true hands-on contributor to Cannondale's success. 

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Validating the order proposals and timely processing of Purchase Orders.
  • Maintaining open orders and work on the exception notices.
  • Working proactively with Suppliers and our Planning team in case of deviations between supply and demand.
  • Create and send out monthly forecasts to our suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and take timely and effective action on excess and obsolete materials.
  • Signal and support improvements on lead-times/prices/ payment terms.
  • Check invoices for Finance to process.
  • Ensure correct cost prices are in the system and communicate proactively in case of big deviations.
  • Ensure correct material master and vendor settings are in the system
  • Measure and analyze our vendor performance (OTD Purchase Orders) and communicate underperformance within the company/supplier.
  • Ensure relevant supplier information is brought into the organization.
  • Perform standard and ad hoc analyses for procurement.
  • Drive supply chain excellence by managing new product intro data.
  • Analyze current processes related to material requirements planning process and look for improvements together with all stakeholders.
  • Champion and encourage a positive working environment and effective teamwork in line with the Company’s values, behaviors and culture.
  • Contribute to the success of the company by leading and assisting in other projects and tasks assigned.
  • Follow internal controls and company policy as set by company and job function.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commercial economics, supply chain, logistics or other relevant fields.
  • A few years of experience in a purchasing role is a big plus.
  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English.
  • Supply Chain knowledge.
  • Proficiency with ERP (SAP preferred).
