About the Role:
Join us as a technical lead and subject matter expert within *Pon.Bike’s global infrastructure. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for managing our infrastructure implementation, administration, and support efforts, all while ensuring they align with our organizational goals and technology standards. As the technical lead, you will guide the workload, manage our talented technical staff, and drive innovation within Pon Bike’s infrastructure environment. Come Ride With Us!
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Document and continuously develop the company’s global IT architecture, infrastructure, and technology stack, with a focus on components such as Azure, Office 365, Meraki, and operational management systems such as Intune and Datadog
- Establish, refine, and enforce policies and procedures related to infrastructure and systems administration, including change management, patching, and preventative maintenance
- Oversee the design and implementation of new systems and hardware as well as conduct high-level capacity and performance planning
- Track compliance with software asset management and licensing across the enterprise, ensuring adherence to internal controls and corporate policies
- Complete change control processes associated with infrastructure upgrades and implementations, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Manage servers, storage devices, and their associated operating systems and software, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Plan and lead disaster recovery exercises; document outcomes and drive improvements to ensure business continuity
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and strategic oversight of hybrid infrastructure environments, including on-premises and cloud-based systems
- Monitor and optimize performance across LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks while ensuring compliance with security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement various Azure cloud stack components such as app services, virtual machines, and virtual networks
- Drive innovation and efficiency by leveraging Office 365 tools and Meraki network infrastructure
- Utilize Datadog for monitoring and performance optimization, ensuring proactive issue resolution
- Manage technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment
- Supervise and direct the workload of system administrators, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Lead infrastructure projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to technical staff to support their professional development
- Contribute to the success of the company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience managing and leading teams supporting a multi-site (and remote) user base
- 7-10 years related work experience
- Certifications/training in Microsoft Server, Cisco (CCNA or higher), CompTIA, and Azure/AWS/VMware/Hyper-V preferred
- Strong familiarity with Linux systems and exposure to server virtualization technologies Hyper-V, VMware
- Proven experience in systems administration
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Advanced knowledge in the following areas is desirable: Azure, Office365, iSCSI, Windows Server, Exchange, CISCO / Meraki firewalls, switches and routers, Meraki Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, network protocols, LAN, WAN, VPN, firewall management, and operating system configuration, and Active Directory
- Previous experience working in a global environment
- Strong knowledge of enterprise deployment technologies such as Intune, SCCM, MDT, WSUS, Group Policy Object
- Strong knowledge of automation programming skills PowerShell, VBScript, Bash
- Experience in datacenter monitoring tools, Datadog, and Azure desktop virtualization
- Superior written and oral communication skills, including active listening
- Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required
- Strong customer-service orientation
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
