Cannondale brings together passionate people with diverse backgrounds, united by one goal: making cycling a part of everyone’s life. We’re continuously innovating and refining our products to get there and this role plays a key part in that. As a 3D CAD Specialist, you’ll develop frames and components from concept through mass production using 3D modeling, surfacing, and simulation tools. You’ll apply mechanical engineering fundamentals to define designs, materials, and manufacturing processes, and partner closely with suppliers to deliver products on time, on budget, and to spec.

Note: This is not a remote position. This role is based in our North American HQ in Wilton, CT.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Build accurate 3D CAD models from design concepts, with a focus on surface modeling
  • Translate industrial design intent into production‑ready digital geometry
  • Partner closely with design engineers, industrial designers, and product teams
  • Adjust and scale models to meet product size specs across different configurations
  • Support timelines by delivering high‑quality work that keeps development moving
  • Help reduce workload across the team, allowing engineers to focus on higher‑level design work
  • Contribute to a growing capability in surfacing, with room to expand into broader design work over time

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Advanced experience in 3D CAD modeling, especially surfacing
  • A background in consumer products, where design and form matter
  • 2-5 years of hands‑on experience (you’re beyond entry level and ready to contribute right away)
  • Comfort working from reference data, sketches, and measurements to build models from the ground up
  • A detail‑oriented mindset and pride in clean, accurate geometry
  • The ability to work at pace and stay organized within tight timelines
  • A collaborative approach and clear communication with cross‑functional partners

What we offer:

  • Comprehensive Medical/Prescription/Dental/Vision plans
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Generous Paid Time Off Programs
  • Life & Disability Insurance
  • FSA/HSA/Dependent Care FSA
  • 401k and company match
  • Commuter Incentive Program

  • Great discounts on company products
  • Employee Wellness Program
  • EAP benefit
  • Parental Leave program
  • Access to group home and auto insurance
  • A mix of casual yet professional culture

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
