Senior Content Marketing Manager

Position Overview 

Canopy is seeking an exceptional Senior Content Marketer to serve as the strategic architect and hands-on creator of our thought leadership and content marketing programs. This individual contributor role is critical to establishing Canopy as the undisputed authority in healthcare workforce safety and location intelligence. 

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you'll own the end-to-end content strategy and execution across multiple high-impact campaigns, collaborating closely with Clinical Strategy, Customer Success, Product Marketing, and Sales teams. 

This is a senior role requiring a seasoned professional who can balance strategic thinking with flawless execution, translate complex clinical concepts into compelling narratives, and manage multiple content workstreams simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Content Leadership (40%) 

Thought Leadership & Research Programs 

  • Lead annual industry research reports - from survey design through publication, launch campaign, and media activation 
  • Develop and execute comprehensive thought leadership content strategies, including monthly blog series, quarterly white papers, and educational resources 
  • Partner with Clinical Strategy Team to translate healthcare expertise into accessible, authoritative content 
  • Own content calendar planning and cross-campaign integration to ensure consistent messaging

Content Strategy & Planning 

  • Define content themes, messaging frameworks, and editorial standards across all marketing campaigns 
  • Conduct audience research and develop persona-specific content strategies for CNOs, CFOs, CIOs, and Security Directors 
  • Build and maintain the content production roadmap aligned to company's revenue goals ● Establish content performance metrics and optimization frameworks 

Hands-On Content Creation (35%) 

Long-Form & Research Content 

  • Write SEO-optimized blog posts (1,500-2,500 words each) 
  • Produce quarterly white papers on healthcare safety trends and best practices ● Develop comprehensive customer case studies with quantified ROI data ● Create pillar pages and comprehensive guides (4,000-5,000 words) 
  • Manage multi-volume thought leadership book series distribution 

Multimedia Content Production 

  • Produce monthly webinars, from theme development through post-event promotion ● Develop webinar presentation decks, scripts, and interactive elements ● Create data visualization infographics 
  • Coordinate video testimonial production with external vendors 
  • Write and design email campaigns, landing pages, and promotional materials Customer Advocacy & Storytelling (15%) 

Customer Success Programs 

  • Lead customer recognition and advocacy programs, including video testimonials, written case studies, and awards initiatives 
  • Build and maintain systematic customer testimonial pipeline 
  • Conduct customer interviews to extract compelling success stories with measurable outcomes 
  • Manage reference customer program communications and appreciation initiatives ● Coordinate with Customer Success team on advocacy opportunities 

Content for Executive Engagement 

  • Develop premium content for C-suite direct mail campaigns 
  • Create executive briefing materials and data packages 
  • Write personalized content for account-based marketing initiatives 
  • Support customer roadshow events with presentation content

Digital Marketing & Distribution (10%) 

SEO & Organic Growth 

  • Execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to achieve top search rankings for target keywords 
  • Optimize all content for search visibility and lead generation 
  • Build internal linking architecture and topic cluster strategies 
  • Drive substantial YoY organic traffic growth through content excellence Email Marketing & Social Media 
  • Manage monthly email newsletter to the full database 
  • Support demand generation team 
  • Oversee LinkedIn company page strategy and daily content posting (5x weekly) ● Develop social media content calendar and employee advocacy programs 

Required Qualifications 

Experience & Background 

  • 8-12 years of progressive content marketing experience, with at least 5 years in B2B SaaS or healthcare technology 
  • Proven track record creating thought leadership content that drives pipeline and revenue (specific examples required) 
  • Deep experience with long-form content creation: research reports, white papers, case studies, pillar pages 
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder content programs with measurable business impact 
  • Portfolio showcasing exceptional writing across multiple formats and technical subject matter 

Healthcare Industry Expertise 

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, safety challenges, and clinical workflows (experience in healthcare technology marketing strongly preferred) 
  • Ability to translate complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences (C-suite, clinicians, IT, security) 
  • Familiarity with healthcare personas: CNOs, Chief Nursing Officers, Security Directors, CIOs, CFOs 
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance, risk management, and patient safety preferred Technical & Tactical Skills
  • Exceptional writing ability - This role is 60%+ writing; samples will be required ● Advanced SEO and content optimization expertise (proven ranking improvements) ● Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (HubSpot strongly preferred) ● Experience with webinar platforms, video production coordination, and multimedia content 
  • Strong project management skills - ability to manage 10+ concurrent content workstreams 
  • Data-driven mindset with experience measuring content ROI and attribution
