Job Title: Senior Privacy Analyst
Location: Cork, Ireland Hybrid or Remote
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a Senior Privacy Analyst to help mature our privacy program and close operational and compliance gaps across our SaaS platform and vendor ecosystem. This role will be key in building centralized visibility into personal and AI data usage, ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations, and improving documentation, transparency, and vendor governance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the design and implementation of a privacy-by-design program, ensuring alignment with frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI governance requirements
- Assess ongoing privacy compliance gaps in the product and partner with engineering teams to define remediation plans
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify and document all data flows
- Partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize privacy requirements through documental, controls, and process improvement
- Establish and maintain centralized visibility into the use of AI systems and personal data across products and internal tools
- Lead full-cycle cyber and privacy assessments including Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), GDPR assessments, NIST Privacy Assessment
- Build and maintain Records of Processing Activities (ROPA)
- Support privacy risk assessments, data subject access requests (DSARs), and internal audits
- Validate and update data retention schedules across systems
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of transparency artifacts (e.g., privacy notices, cookies, and data use disclosures)
- Support Data Protection Agreement (DPA) management, ensuring vendors are properly documented and contractual privacy obligations are met
- Track and assist with DPA improvements, including updating templates, coordinating reviews, and maintaining version control
- Monitor regulatory developments and emerging AI privacy requirements to help maintain compliance readiness
Qualifications & Experience needed to be successful in this role:
- 4-6 years of experience in privacy, compliance, or GRC (governance, risk, compliance) functions.
- Strong understanding of global privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.).
- Experience with data mapping, vendor management, or privacy impact assessments.
- Demonstrates deep ownership of privacy risks and gaps
- Influence decision makers and drive corrective actions across teams.
- Comfortable escalating risks to senior leadership to ensure timely remediation.
- Familiarity with SaaS platforms and/or AI data governance preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Privacy certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or similar) are a plus.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving: Ability to interpret complex data flows and identify potential privacy risks within SaaS systems
- Strong communication skills: Can translate complex privacy concepts into clear, actionable guidance for non-experts
- Adaptability and learning agility: Ability to keep pace with emerging privacy and AI governance requirements
