Job Description
The Practice Lead role is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving the growth and development of Capco’s Data & Technology consulting practice within the Financial Services and/or Energy sectors, primarily focused on the Texas market. This role requires a visionary leader who can leverage existing relationships, industry expertise, and technological innovation to expand Capco’s market presence, develop a strong pipeline, and lead successful engagements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a go-to-market strategy for data and technology consulting, overseeing client relationships, and leading a team of skilled professionals to deliver transformational solutions. This role requires deep expertise in digital transformation, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, cybersecurity, and regulatory technology in a consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand Capco’s Data & Technology consulting business across the Texas region and surrounding states, identifying and capitalizing on market trends in professional services.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with senior executives and decision-makers in banking, insurance, capital markets, or energy firms to understand their data and technology needs.
- Drive opportunity origination and pursuit, developing tailored value propositions, sales collateral, and winning proposals for technology-driven engagements.
- Define and implement innovative technology solutions in areas such as cloud migration, AI-driven analytics, digital transformation, cybersecurity, risk management, and data governance.
- Identify, recruit, and mentor top-tier talent, fostering a high-performance culture within the Data & Technology consulting team.
- Ensure revenue targets, profitability, and sustainable growth through effective client engagements and delivery excellence.
- Represent Capco as a thought leader at industry conferences, author white papers, and participate in key industry forums to enhance brand presence.
- Ensure client engagements are executed with excellence, maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS) in Data Science, Technology, or Business preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of consulting experience, with a strong focus on executive leadership of data-driven transformation and technology strategy.
- Experience in selling complex, transformational consulting engagements.
- Proven expertise in at least three of the following areas:
- Data Management & Analytics (big data, data lakes, real-time analytics, data visualization)
- Cloud & Digital Transformation (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, hybrid cloud architectures)
- AI & Machine Learning (predictive analytics, generative AI, automation)
- Enterprise Technology & API Strategy (microservices, cloud-native applications, digital banking solutions)
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry trends, and business challenges within the Financial Services and/or Energy sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing teams, foster a culture of innovation, and drive business growth.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in presenting to C-suite executives.
- Strong executive relationships in the Financial Services and/or Energy sectors.
- Willingness to travel as required for client engagements and business development efforts.
