Role Description:

Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer in Banking Domain

Location: Sarjapur, Bengaluru

3 days WFO (Tues, Wed, Thurs)

Shift Time: 24*7 Rotational Shifts

Role Description

Technical requirements:

  1. AWS Expertise • Proficiency in core AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, SNS, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, EKS. • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure. • Familiarity with AWS CLI • Understanding of security best practices.
  2. Containerization / Kubernetes. • AWS EKS architecture and Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, deployments, services, namespaces). • Familiarity with Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests (YAML). • Managing and troubleshooting EKS clusters.
  3. Amazon MSK/Apache Kafka • Strong knowledge of Amazon MSK and Kafka architecture (brokers, topics, partitions, producers, consumers). • Experience with Kafka administration: cluster setup, configuration, monitoring, and tuning. • Familiarity with Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry. • Troubleshooting Kafka performance and message delivery issues.
  4. Monitoring & Logging • Hands-on with monitoring tools - Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Fluent Bit/Fluentd for log aggregation. • Set up alerts and dashboards for Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
  5. Support & Incident Management • Experience in a 24x7 support environment or on-call rotation. • Strong troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis across cloud-native services. • Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  6. Automation • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation and support tasks.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications • AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer) Familiarity with data pipelines and ETL tools.
