The Regional Energy Lead & Client Partner role is a strategic business leader responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of accounts for the Energy Practice of Capco with specific focus on Utilities. In this role you will be working as an energy-focused Capco Partner responsible for leveraging relationships, experience, and skills that are part of a vibrant and rapidly growing global energy practice. This includes leveraging your existing relationships, market making, building a pipeline of new opportunities, managing the regional go-to-market plan, closing business in both new and existing accounts, and building, developing, and managing the team.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Building and growing Capco’s energy business in the United States with a focus on building scale in the local market and other locations with a concentration of Capco resources.
  • Leading all aspects of opportunity origination and pursuit including building & managing executive relationships, creating an opportunity pipeline, engaging with clients and others to understand key industry challenges and needs, and defining compelling solutions and value propositions aligned with client needs
  • Leading the building of the team to include identification and hiring of talent, mentoring & retention of regional staff, and performance management
  • Taking ownership of annual revenue and sales targets and ensuring contractual arrangements meet defined commercials goals
  • Accountable for the P&L for the portfolio of account(s)
  • Accountable for ensuring that Capco delivery teams engaged on client account(s) are focused on quality execution and delivery to ensure we are meeting our contractual obligations
  • Leading delivery of Capco services to your clients including ensuring client satisfaction and managing all commercials for the account(s)
  • Spearheaded initiatives to build and strengthen company culture, for example supporting internal training programs, leadership development, and employee engagement strategies.

What You’ll Bring With You

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 15 years of consulting experience in the North American Energy & Utility space covering regulated and de-regulated markets
  • Candidates must have a proven track record of building consulting business in the Digital, Consulting, and Technology areas consistent with Capco’s market offerings and should have a demonstrated record of consulting leadership, energy value-chain experience, client account management, and team leadership
  • Strong understanding and experience of Digital, Technology, and Consulting services applicability in the Energy & Utility space
  • Experience and knowledge in three or more of these primary systems/functional areas within energy companies:
    • Advanced Metering (AMI) and Smart Grid Management
    • Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)
    • Field Workforce Mobility IT-OT Integration
    • Energy Management Systems (EMS)
    • Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS)
    • Outage Management Systems (OMS)
    • Distributed Energy Resources (DER)
    • Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
    • Work Management
    • Asset Performance Management (APM) Connected Worker Solutions
    • Customer Information Systems / Customer Billing
    • Trading & Risk Management (TRM)
    • Power Bidding & Scheduling
    • Gas Logistics & Nominations
    • Call Center Operations
  • Must possess a good understanding of the overall technology landscape within Energy & Utility target clients in domain areas such digital grid, customer service, renewable energy, grid modernization, and cyber security.
  • Strong experience in conducting client workshops and facilitating meetings
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% within the U.S. if and as needed.
