TOM Design Lead Job Description.
Principal Responsibilities
- Design the target operating model changes for Germany for the Value Stream (VS) in line with global direction
- Align interdependencies between VS, enablers, GB/GF
- Own the change adoption activities to execute the target operating model changes
- Manage stakeholders, governance and status reporting, etc.
- Work as an extension of the Design team to ensure alignment
- Demonstrate and apply excellent business domain knowledge – Commercial Banking and Trade Finance
- Initiate and/or support continuous process improvement to achieve productivity and efficiency gains. Provide cost benefits as required.
- Develop and retain a high level of understanding of business and IT systems requirements, to enable appropriate support and guidance to be given to Teams.
- Build trusting relationships with stakeholders by consistently meeting and delivering upon their business needs; demonstrating and being respected for your domain knowledge
- Develop and maintain high quality communication and relationships, both internal and external parties. Manage the coordination of communication with virtual teams worldwide.
Requirements
- Disciplined project management professional with >10 years’ experience in the management of multiple parallel projects (small – medium) and the application of robust governance standards.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills: Ability to conduct a gap analysis between current and future state, identify the key issues and develop solutions / roadmap / recommendations to get to the desired outcome
- Strong process analysis, process mapping, process re-engineering skills: ability to capture the current process, baseline the current state performance and gaps, highlighting areas for improvement
- Experience in operating model design and implementation: proven experience in design and implementation for TOMs
- Desirable if candidate has existing knowledge of Client systems, technologies or is supported by a business architect who has all this information and then the coordinator needs to possess strong skills to simplify the complex information into a digestible and clear execution plan
- Strong stakeholder management skills, influencing skills to engage with the senior stakeholders
- Desirable if candidate has strong project management skills / demonstration of being able to deliver project outcomes successfully to tight timelines, deal with conflicting priorities and execute
- Strong facilitation and communication skills – candidate needs to gather inputs from a wide group of stakeholders and turn this into specific requirements. Candidate to also have the skills to monitor, track progress and provide reports tailored to specific stakeholder audience
- Resilience and adaptability to deal with complex environments, changing requirements and conflicting requirements from key stakeholders. For this I strongly encourage seeking a candidate who possess a background in change management
- Proven ability to prioritise competing demands
- Strong analytic and decision making abilities
- Must be a team player and able to work with and through others.
- Good understanding of the Trade (GTS) business.
Academic and professional qualifications:
- A high quality degree level education, and a first class general academic track record
- A professional Change Management/Project Management qualification and a proven track record of delivering change
