Job Title: 

Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities:

The Testing Manager will oversee all testing activities across the BFA deployment, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-to-end validation. The role ensures quality assurance across data, enrichment logic, and reporting outputs.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead test planning, execution, and reporting for all phases of testing.

Validate that developed processes and outputs meet business requirements.

Coordinate UAT activities with SMEs, FinOps, and Data Operations teams.

Oversee defect management and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Support go/no-go decisions by providing assurance on test outcomes.

Maintain testing documentation, scripts, and evidence in line with HSBC standards.

Direct Reports:

 

 

Control:

·         Ensure testing adheres to HSBC’s quality assurance and validation frameworks.

·         Maintain detailed traceability between requirements and test evidence.

Management of Risk:

·         Identify risks related to data integrity and functional gaps.

  • Ensure mitigation plans are in place for any test failures or deviations.

Stakeholder Management:

·         Coordinate with business SMEs, developers, and data teams throughout testing cycles.

·         Communicate test outcomes to programme leadership and entity sponsors.

·         Support alignment between entity and global testing standards.

Essential Experience & Competencies

 

Business

·         Strong background in Finance systems testing and data validation.

·         Knowledge of TM1, Saracen, and Finance reporting processes.

·         Proven ability to manage large-scale SIT/UAT cycles.

·         Excellent analytical, documentation, and issue-resolution skills.

·         Experience managing testing in complex Finance transformation projects.
