Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Murex Risk Specialist to support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of risk functionalities within the Murex platform. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of risk management concepts combined with hands-on experience in Murex risk modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and support Murex risk modules (market risk, counterparty risk, sensitivities, VaR)
  • Analyze and implement risk-related business requirements
  • Work closely with Front Office, Risk, and IT teams to ensure accurate risk calculations
  • Support risk simulations, stress testing, and scenario analysis
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of risk metrics and data outputs
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in risk results
  • Contribute to risk engine configuration, batch processes, and performance tuning
  • Participate in testing (UAT), releases, and system upgrades
  • Document risk methodologies, configurations, and processes

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Murex (MX.3), particularly in risk modules
  • Solid understanding of market risk concepts (VaR, sensitivities, Greeks, stress testing)
  • Knowledge of financial products (derivatives, FX, rates, equities)
  • Experience with risk engines, simulations, and pricing models
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze large datasets
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
  • Understanding of trade lifecycle and valuation processes

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with counterparty credit risk (CCR/XVA)
  • Knowledge of Python or scripting languages
  • Experience with Murex upgrades or implementations
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g. FRTB, Basel)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with complex financial data
  • Good communication and stakeholder management
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach
