Role Purpose:

Skills Required: Technical Skills
- Data Analysis and Querying. Must be comfortable working directly with data to answer business questions. SQL, DBT and Snowflake (ideal)
- Business Intelligence Tools. Must be able to present insights clearly and intuitively QLIK (ideal)
- Data Modelling & Metrics Logic. Must understand how business concepts map to data structures (Conceptual and logical data modelling, defining business rules for calculations and metrics (metric standardization, working with star schemas or curated analytics layers
- Understanding of Data Platforms & Architecture. Must understand how data flows. (Data warehouses and lakes, ETL / ELT concepts, Source systems, latency constraints
- Requirements & Documentation Skills (Technical). Strong documentation covering (i) Writing clear analytical requirements, (ii) Data dictionaries and metric definitions, (iii) Process flows and business logic documentation and (vi) Translating business questions into analytical specifications
Key Responsibilities
Support the discovery, documentation, and analysis of “as is” Business Intelligence/ Reporting across both organizations, including pain points, hand-offs and data sources (and gaps)
Facilitate workshops with SMEs to validate process understanding and uncover integration issues (disparate data sources, data gaps, tactical fixes, measurement assumptions) and/or optimization opportunities (data integration opportunities)
Produce clear process artefacts (process maps, data flows, procedure notes, RACI updates) in line with Aviva process design and governance standards.
Support the definition of future state “to be” Business Intelligence/ Reporting – via requirements gathering - aligned to integration objectives , regulatory requirements, and business strategy. .
Perform data mapping exercises across two different organizations to map their Data/ Fields to a common data dictionary
Provide recommendations for integrating data into a common target to provision ‘to be’ reporting from.
Contribute to reporting, RAID management, and progress tracking for the integration workstream.
Skills & Experience
Strong experience in Business Analysis within transformation, process change, operational improvement, or integration programmes.
Proven ability to capture and document complex processes clearly and at varying levels of detail.
Skilled facilitator able to engage stakeholders from multiple teams and ability partner with the business to understand requirements.
Experience working with process frameworks, methodologies, and tooling (e.g., BPMN, Lean, SIPOC, Visio, Systems Thinking).
Solid understanding of risk, control, compliance, and governance considerations in process design.
