About the Role  

Join our design team at Capintel as a Product Designer, where we believe collaboration fuels innovation and autonomy empowers ownership. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to create intuitive, visually appealing, user-centered designs for enterprise-level SaaS web applications. You will contribute to the entire design process, from wireframing to visual design to prototyping, ensuring a magical user experience within a complex ecosystem of financial products. At CapIntel, we believe that both UX and UI are essential components of successful product design. As such, we are looking for a candidate with a high bar for craft in both core UX and visual design disciplines. 

What you’ll do 

  • Conducting user research, creating wireframes, building prototypes, packaging high-fidelity designs, and iterating based on user and stakeholder feedback.  
  • Ensure that designs are aligned with business goals and deliver seamless user experiences within a complex product ecosystem. 
  • Balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to create impactful, innovative design solutions. 
  • Your passion for design will help shape industry-leading wealthtech products, and help real people build towards their financial future.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other designers to understand the objectives, business vision, product roadmap, and identify opportunities to bring the best user experience to life. 

What We’re Looking For 

  • At least 4 years of proven experience in user interface design, user experience design, interaction design, and expertise in designing responsive web applications. 
  • Experience leveraging user personas, journey maps, and user flow diagrams throughout the design process. 
  • Experience working and partnering with UX Researchers, Content Designers, and other Product Designers, using an evolving design process to create tangible improvements in the user experience.  
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and effective collaboration with Designers, Product Managers, Developers, and business leaders through clear visual presentations, and written and verbal communication. 
  • Extremely comfortable with Figma and using established design systems.  

Bonus Experience

  • Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative user research, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, contextual inquiries, to inform product roadmap and design decisions. 
  • Familiarity with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes to effectively collaborate with developers for implementing accessible designs. 
  • Experience in fintech/wealthtech, enterprise Saas, or Investment Banking industry. 
  • Experience working with B2B2C and innovating in a compliance-heavy industry.
