The position will initially report to the Syndications Loan Admin team but is expected to transition under the Credit Desk structure in the future.
LOCATION:
This position will be located in the Round Rock office.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent work experience. Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the administration and analysis of credit.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Spreads and analyzes financial statements to determine financial performance trends; including repayment capacity, liquidity, leverage, and capitalization trends, sources and uses of cash
- Assists in the development of tools and templates for monitoring such loans
- Completes validation, review, reconciliation, and trending of tested financial covenants and borrowing base certificates, using Excel, database or other tools
- Manages review of reporting information with quick response on follow-up items
- Analyzes all pertinent financial information and supporting reports; determines the need for additional information or more thorough investigation; analyzes information statements and related material
- Reviews Credit Agreements and other loan documents to support covenant and reporting requirement monitoring and financial performance review
- Communicates with Deal Teams regarding ongoing performance trends of assigned accounts
- Reviews and understands chattel evaluations, collateral audits, and real estate appraisals
- Analyzes tax returns for determination of repayment capacity
- Develops spreadsheets and other automated tools for account financial performance monitoring, credit analysis, special projects, or presentations
- Provides assistance to Relationship Managers, Special Assets Group, and Administrators in analysis, servicing and reporting of the Association’s loans and leases
- Compiles quarterly industry updates for various industries based on input from Credit Managers, portfolio data, and industry sourced data
- Assists other Association personnel in completing projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Basic understanding of credit analysis, administration, and policy and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend credit write-ups and loan documentation.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Word.
