LOCATION:
- This position will be located onsite in our Credit Office in Temple, Texas.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in loan administration, office operations, or customer service with exposure to financial services, mortgage, or title insurance industry preferred; or experience deemed equivalent at the discretion of Capital Farm Credit.
- Experience in administrative support functions.
- Good standing in current and/or previous employment (required).
- Strong work ethic that supports a willingness to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
FUNCTIONS:
- Provides excellent customer service on a consistent basis by greeting customers, answering phones and customer inquiries, and facilitates communications between internal departments and external parties. Works with senior staff to research and resolve issues.
- Under direction and oversight, sends the loan application(s) to applicants, reviews completed application for accuracy and completeness, and communicates with applicants on additional needs. At a basic level, develops and organizes loan applicant information.
- Under direction and oversight, enters pertinent loan data into loan origination systems, including financial information such as balance sheets and other data required. Acquires credit bureau reports and generates credit scores.
- Conducts appropriate searches within various systems as required for borrowing entities. Reviews results to ensure compliance related to entity tax status and OFAC standings. Gains a basic understanding of UCC lien search results and UCC lien status.
- Under guidance, drafts and sends communication of initial credit decision to applicants. Assists with communicating additional needs and updates with applicants and members of the loan committee through due diligence process.
- Requests and develops basic knowledge of title commitment and supporting documents from title companies that are relevant to each loan file. Gains an understanding of coordination needed with internal departments for review and approval of necessary documents.
- Thru direction and oversight, reviews files in loan origination system to help identify errors and ensure accuracy prior to loan committee approval and loan processing requests. Requests final loan committee approvals. Submits loan file to Document Preparation Department.
- With direction and oversight, coordinates loan closings; assembles, reviews, and delivers closing packet for execution; and reviews documentation to ensure proper execution.
- With guidance and oversight, onboards new loans from loan origination system into the loan accounting system and disburses loan proceeds; confirms loan was closed in compliance with loan closing instructions; monitors borrower loan conditions and documents the file accordingly. Assists the loan committee by requesting and filing necessary information to satisfy loan covenants and other reporting requirements.
- Develops an understanding of lien perfection through deed of trust and/or UCC filing and maintenance. Establishes and maintains electronic loan files and sends original documents to the Collateral Custodian. Works with internal departments to finalize and certify loans.
- Processes loan payments, disbursements, and related tasks necessary to service loan portfolio.
- Develops basic knowledge of cooperative structure, patronage program, and CFC product offerings.
- At a basic level, assists with credit servicing actions. With oversight and direction, reviews executed servicing action documentation, submits revisions to accounting systems, and updates electronic file documentation.
- Develops basic knowledge of required procedures, policies, processes, internal controls, and regulations with an ability to research and apply.
- Develops foundational knowledge of multiple systems and programs and demonstrates the ability to use CFC programs and systems used in lending and office administration.
- Assists with general office administration and operates a variety of standard office equipment.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Basic knowledge of:
- Accounting/financial systems.
- Computer systems and office equipment used for file management, file classification practices, and retrieval of business information.
- Documentation requirements for title insurance, deeds of trust, UCC financing statements, crop insurance, and flood insurance.
- Professional, oral, and written correspondence principles.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
- Organization and time management practices.
- Attention to detail.
- Working in a collaborative environment.
