Digital Marketing at Capital On Tap🚀

This team owns our online marketing, SEO, AIO, customer communications, PR, social media, brand positioning, website, and any above-the-line activity.

It's an exciting time to join - we're scaling the business, evolving from a mono-product to a multi-product company, exploring a rebrand, and navigating a shifting acquisition landscape as LLMs reshape search and advertising.

What You’ll Be Doing 🗃️

Reporting directly to the CCO, you'll lead a team of 4-5 and be responsible for both setting strategy and driving execution. In particular:

  • Budget ownership: We spend millions annually on digital marketing, and you'll have genuine autonomy over allocation and investment decisions.
  • Customer communications: Setting standards across hundreds of touchpoints to our 200k customers, maximising value whilst minimising unsubscribes.
  • Search & discovery: Working with our in-house SEO/AIO expert and external agencies to ensure we rank for relevant searches across Google, Bing, and leading LLMs.
  • Website optimisation: Partnering with contractors, our SEO/AIO expert and our design team to drive conversion and application volume.
  • Brand elevation: Raising the bar on how we show up, including evaluating above-the-line investment and owning our social media strategy.

We’re Looking For 🔎

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing. 
  • Willingness to get your hands dirty. 
  • Passion for digital marketing and how it’s developing in light of AI. 
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to think from first principles and draw insights from data.
  • Deep domain expertise and experience in at least two of the following:
    • Google ads
    • AIO 
    • SEO
    • Branding and PR
    • Communications
    • Social media strategies
    • Above-the-line marketing 
  • Ability to write SQL and familiarity with data visualisation tools is a plus.

Interview Process 🤝

  • Stage 1: 30 mins CV & values interview with our talent team
  • Stage 2: 1 hour case study interview with CCO and one of the digital marketing team
  • Stage 3: 30 mins experience & fit interview with another C-suite member (CEO or COO)
