Director of Loan Participations and Whole-Loan Trading

Role Overview: As the - Director of Financial Institutions, you will be responsible for building/maintaining relationships with banks and credit unions that engage in whole-loan trading and/or loan participations. This role requires a blend of sales, negotiation, business development, & relationship management expertise, ensuring our revenue and sales targets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with banks and credit unions, allowing the ability to influence decisions and outcomes.
- Deep understanding of performance metrics & follow-up requirements.
- Collaborate with the executive team to set revenue targets and develop plans.
- Manage CRM and other sales/marketing tools to ensure accurate data and reporting.
- Overcome objections and hurdles to the benefit of customers and the company.
- Partner with finance to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in whole-loan trading and/or loan participations at an investment bank, brokerage, or capital markets group.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot).
- Proven ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights and follow-up actions.
- Excellent ability to overcome objections and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to effectively drive and manage change.
- A bachelor's degree in business or finance or an MBA is a plus.
