Director of Loan Participations and Whole-Loan Trading

Role Overview: As the - Director of Financial Institutions, you will be responsible for building/maintaining relationships with banks and credit unions that engage in whole-loan trading and/or loan participations.   This role requires a blend of sales, negotiation, business development, & relationship management expertise, ensuring our revenue and sales targets are met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with banks and credit unions, allowing the ability to influence decisions and outcomes. 
  • Deep understanding of performance metrics & follow-up requirements.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to set revenue targets and develop plans.
  • Manage CRM and other sales/marketing tools to ensure accurate data and reporting.
  • Overcome objections and hurdles to the benefit of customers and the company.  
  • Partner with finance to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting. 

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in whole-loan trading and/or loan participations at an investment bank, brokerage, or capital markets group.   
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot).
  • Proven ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights and follow-up actions.
  • Excellent ability to overcome objections and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to effectively drive and manage change.
  • A bachelor's degree in business or finance or an MBA is a plus.
