What You’ll Do
User Research & Workflow Mapping
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research, including interviews, surveys, shadowing, and usage analytics to understand workflows and pain points.
- Analyze findings to determine efficient, flexible, and consistent workflows that address user needs. Create design artifacts (user journeys, personas, storyboards, etc.) to communicate design concepts and strategies.
Design Creation
- Translate research insights into polished, high-fidelity designs using Figma and similar tools.
- Continuously refine ideas and designs by incorporating user feedback through usability testing, prototypes, and other interactive solutions.
- Inspire internal and external stakeholders by presenting futuristic innovative ideas.
Design System & Style Guide Development
- Evaluate, choose, and implement an industry-leading design system framework (such as Material UI, Ant Design, Chakra UI, or Tailwind CSS).
- Maximize design and developer productivity by building a component library (in Storybook or similar tool). Populate both the design system and style guide with content, including typography, colour schemes, iconography, and component guidelines.
- Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG guidelines) and support scalability across future platform iterations.
Asset Preparation & Delivery
- Partner with developers to ensure smooth handoff and implementation of design assets.
- Deliver all design assets, including annotated screens, style guides, workflows, and component libraries, ensuring the development team has everything needed for rapid implementation.
Collaboration & Testing
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align design goals with business objectives.
- Help plan and execute beta testing to validate design effectiveness, iterating based on feedback to improve usability and satisfaction.
What You’ll Bring
- 6+ years in a combined Product and/or UX design role, focusing on SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, and/or large- scale platform redesigns.
