Head of Inside Sales - Small Business

We’re currently looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Small Business Inside Sales to join our team and contribute to the growth of our SwipeSimple Connect product. As a Head of Small Business Inside Sales, you will be responsible for building and leading the Inside Sales team to success by providing strategy, vision, coaching, and execution to meet or exceed sales goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading a sales team; selling software, payment acceptance, or other services to small businesses; excellent communication skills; and an understanding of the payments industry.

The Head of Inside Sales - Small Business will recruit, train, and lead a team of Sales Associates responsible for selling our SwipeSimple Connect product offering to small businesses across the United States This is a full-time exempt position. 

What You’ll be Responsible for:

Lead The Inside Sales Team:

  • Recruit, train, mentor, motivate, and ensure the success of our sales team.
  • Set individual sales targets with team members and ensure attainment of them.
  • Facilitate career growth in a team of sales associates, including performance reviews, goal-setting, and regular 1:1’s.
  • Identify opportunities for enhanced sales performance by implementing strategies to close performance gaps (tools, training, etc.) and to retain, reward, motivate, and accelerate outperformers

Develop and Execute Sales Strategies:

  • Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and implement plans to penetrate them.
  • Analyze sales trends and refine strategies and tactics in ways that improve performance.

Create, Monitor, and Predict Sales Performance:

  • Define, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Conduct sales forecasts, develop action plans to address sales gaps, and manage sales budgets to ensure predictable revenue growth.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system, to improve sales outcomes.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Departments:

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to improve sales outcomes
  • Communicate market feedback and trends to internal teams to improve products and services.

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • 8+ years of sales experience, preferably in Small Business software sales or the payments industry
  • 5+ years of sales management experience
  • Proven ability to manage yourself and your teams to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, business strategy, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Superior interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and sales strategies.

Our signature product, SwipeSimple, is used by 125,000+ small businesses across the country. SwipeSimple is a software solution that enables small businesses to accept payments seamlessly via phone, tablet or computer. SwipeSimple is sold through a partner network comprising financial institutions, merchant service providers, and independent sales organizations. The solution is also sold directly by CardFlight through SwipeSimple Connect.

The annual base pay range for this role is $80,000-$200,000. The annual On-Track-Earnings (OTE) target, which includes base pay, quarterly commission and annual cash bonus, is $130,000- $350,000, with the opportunity to earn more than OTE based on exceeding goals.
