
Performance Marketing Lead
YOU KNOW THE NUMBER AND BUILD THE ENGINE THAT GETS US THERE.
Our product, SwipeSimple, is used by 125,000+ small businesses to accept payments. We need a significantly better acquisition engine to continue to scale. This role is yours to build.
You'll own paid channels, affiliate and referral programs, and an experimental pipeline - from budget to closed merchant. You'll bring the tools, build the workflows, and set a new ceiling for what can be produced. This is not a campaign manager role. It's an operator role.
WHAT YOU OWN
Paid Acquisition (60%)
Bids, audiences, creative tests, landing page variants. Daily optimization. Weekly scale-or-kill decisions against real MAC and conversion data. You manage the budget because it is yours.
Performance Partnerships (20%)
Build affiliate and referral programs that produce qualified merchant leads. Recruit partners, structure offers, own tracking. Merchant comparison sites, aggregators, referral networks.
Growth Experiments (20%)
Find channels competitors haven't found yet. Reddit, vertical forums, niche directories. Clear hypotheses, clear kill criteria. Always an experiment running.
AI Operating Model (team ceiling lifter)
Agentic workflows that compress testing cycles. Automated variant generation, performance reads, iteration loops. You choose the tools and show us what's possible.

- Monthly merchants acquired
- Lead-to-approval rate
- LTV:MAC ratio
- Payback period
These move in the right direction, the budget grows to match. They don't, we find out why and fix it fast.
WHAT WE NEED TO SEE: PROOF, NOT POTENTIAL.
- 3-5+ years running profitable paid acquisition in B2B SaaS, fintech, or payments - with the MAC, ROAS, and conversion rates to prove it
- You've personally built something from zero to scale. Not inherited someone else's program - built it
- Deep platform fluency: campaign structure, bidding strategies, Quality Score optimization, audience layering
- Attribution competence in a cookieless world: first-party data, server-side tracking, CRM integration, multi-touch and modeled attribution
- Affiliate and partnership experience: recruited partners, structured offers, and owned tracking infrastructure
- Agentic AI workflows - multi-step pipelines that run tests, read outputs, and iterate. Not headlines from ChatGPT. Actual compression of work
- Comfortable with constraints: you've made small budgets work, not just managed large ones. Efficiency before scale
