About the Role
CardioDiagnostics is currently recruiting a detail-oriented and highly skilled Remote EKG Monitor Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing ECG data in both live and retrospective environments, making timely notification calls based on clinical priority protocols, and triaging cardiac strips in real time. This position plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care through ECG analysis while working in a fast-paced, remote setting.
This role includes a comprehensive two-week training program, combining remote classroom instruction with hands-on, on-the-job training to ensure proficiency as a Remote EKG Monitor Technician.
What you'll do:
- Monitor and interpret ECG data from both live telemetry and retrospective recordings after wear-time completion.
- Review patient ECG data and algorithm findings for clinical accuracy, ensuring 100% data quality.
- Identify and triage cardiac strips in a live monitoring environment, escalating findings based on clinic-specific notification protocols.
- Make timely notification calls based on priority levels, ensuring effective communication with physicians and medical staff.
- Perform quality assurance on reports, making necessary modifications before final delivery to healthcare providers.
- Read, interpret, and report on 90-second ECG strips with precision and accuracy.
- Communicate ECG abnormalities effectively to physicians and follow up with patients for additional data transmissions as needed.
- Continuously develop ECG interpretation skills, meeting productivity and quality performance metrics.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to best clinical practices.
- Demonstrate strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills, maintaining proficiency and completing required certifications on time.
- Uphold a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, ensuring reports are accurate and beneficial to clients and patients.
What you'll need:
- Must hold one of the following certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in a related field preferred).
- At least 2 years’ experience in EKG monitoring, telemetry, or remote cardiac monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, and ECG interpretation.
- The ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in using telemetry software, remote monitoring platforms, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear and timely reports.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a secure, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a remote EKG monitoring or cardiac diagnostic center; 5+ years of experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Additional Information:
This role is at $22 an hour.
