How This Role Makes a Difference
As a Team Leader, Warehouse Specialist at Care Access, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the daily activities of the warehouse team, manage inventory levels, and ensure timely and accurate shipments.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Demonstrate proficiency in fulfilling duties associated with a warehouse specialist role as required.
- Supervising and coordinating warehouse staff to ensure all operations dead lines are met.
- Training and mentoring warehouse specialists on best practices and procedures.
- Efficiently coordinate and schedule calibrations across the company, ensuring timely and effective management of calibration processes.
- Overseeing the receiving, processing, and storing of incoming stock and materials.
- Managing inventory levels and conducting regular cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Collaborating with other departments to fulfill orders and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Utilizing warehouse management software to track inventory and generate reports.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating equipment maintenance as needed.
- Assisting the Warehouse Manager in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Systematically gathering and analyzing data to inform decision-making processes and strategic planning.
The Expertise Required
- Experience driving large vehicles or trucks preferred.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
How We Work Together
- Location: Austin, TX
- Travel: This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.
- Physical demands associated with this position Include:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 100 pounds with the proper equipment.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, rolling carts, dollies and mechanical pallet stackers.
- Willingness to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders as required.
- Occasional travel may be required for offsite equipment retrieval or training purposes.
- Utilize hand tools for assembling shelves, installing appliances, and laptops for general data entry tasks.
