Pharmacy Coordinator

The Pharmacy Coordinator acts as a central point of contact, coordinating all aspects of a transplant patient's medication journey, from ensuring timely refills and managing insurance/copays to providing patient education and focusing on adherence and simplifying the complex transplant process with a "white-glove" service. They work closely with providers and pharmacists, manage case files, handle compliance, and use systems like EHRs and pharmacy software to support pre- and post-transplant medication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Patient Advocacy & Support: Serve as the main contact for patients, guiding them through their transplant medication regimen.

· Medication Management: Ensure timely fulfillment, coordinate refills, and track discharge/maintenance medications.

· Financial Assistance: Help patients access copay assistance and communicate costs.

· Communication Hub: Liaise with physicians, pharmacists, and insurance to resolve issues like prior authorizations.

· Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and case activity logs.

· Compliance: Adhere to all federal/state laws, HIPAA, and company standards.

Qualifications:

· Highschool diploma required

· Active state licensure (Mississippi Board of Pharmacy) with no disciplinary action

· Pharmacy tech or healthcare background (2+ years often preferred).

· Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)

· Must possess the ability to work collaboratively in accomplishing tasks, as well as effectively communicating with fellow members of the pharmacy staff

· Team-oriented individual that excels at seeing needs, stepping in, and fulfilling the needed tasks, however big or small they may be

· Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to increase clinical knowledge

· Proficiency in PioneerRx is preferred but not required

· Retail Specialty Pharmacy experience is preferred but not required

· Experience with URAC and/or ACHC accreditation is preferred but not required

· Understanding of transplant care and medical terminology is beneficial.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is mandatory

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

This is the anticipated base salary range for candidates who will work in Atlanta, GA. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include, but are not limited to, the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. CareDx is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
