About the Role

As a People Operations Intern, you will support the daily operations and key initiatives of Careem’s People team. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee experience, contributing to projects across onboarding, data management, HR systems, and policy administration. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to understand the workings of a People function at scale and build foundational HR knowledge in a dynamic, values-driven organization.

What You'll Do

 

  • Coordinate onboarding activities including documentation, induction sessions, and distribution of welcome packs.
  • Process employment contracts and ensure compliance with local employment
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of colleague data and lifecycle changes.
  • Support general HR admin tasks: printing, scanning, document filing, obtaining signatures.
  • Maintain digital HR files, ensuring records are up-to-date and organized.
  • Respond to colleague queries in alignment with People policies and SLAs
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives within the People Ops team
  • Collaborate on ad hoc projects across broader People verticals (e.g., Total Rewards, Talent)
 
What You'll Need
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or a recent graduate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Must be a UAE University student who can provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their university or sponsor.
  • Hold a valid student or dependent visa with at least 6 months validity.
  • Full professional proficiency in English; Arabic is a strong plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn HR systems.
