About the team
The Captain Operations team at Careem is at the heart of the platform that connects millions of customers with our valued Captains (drivers). The team in Amman plays a critical role in acquiring, onboarding, and supporting Captains to ensure exceptional service delivery across our markets. We work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
About the role
As a Senior Associate for Captain Acquisition and Market Ops, you will be responsible for acquiring new Captains and executing local market operations in Amman. You will be instrumental in improving operational metrics, driving acquisition campaigns, and supporting the end-to-end Captain lifecycle.
What you'll do
  • Lead and execute Captain acquisition strategies in Amman to ensure supply targets are met.
  • Day-to-day captain support operations - ensuring a reliable experience across all delivery verticals on a daily basis.
  • Manage onboarding and training processes for new Captains to ensure readiness and quality.
  • Collaborate with central ops and local teams to implement acquisition campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics such as onboarding funnel, conversion rates, and Captain activation.
  • Analyze operational bottlenecks and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct on-ground market visits and engage with Captains to gather insights and resolve issues.
  • Support implementation of localized incentives, training content, and acquisition experiments.
  • Maintain high-quality standards across acquisition touchpoints.
What you'll need
  • 2–3 years of experience in operations, field execution, or growth roles, ideally in tech or logistics.
  • Strong analytical mindset and proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL is a plus.
  • Experience executing acquisition campaigns and improving funnel performance.
  • Hands-on, ownership mentality — comfortable being on the ground and driving outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (preferable), Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
