Career TEAM is searching for an Outreach Specialist who will recruit and outreach eligible individuals interested in entry-level healthcare training to increase the healthcare workforce in South Ventura County, CA, through building firm partnerships within the local communities and through digital marketing. The selected candidate will be expected to provide the best-in-class services and accelerate clients toward their goals, for the HUD-CDBG Project HEAL grant. TThis position is expected to be on-site 80% of the time and 20% remote work.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success:
- Serve as primary initial liaison between customer and company via telephone, email, mail, and home visit outreach strategies; transfer all successful outreach customers to Career Navigators
- Develop and manage a comprehensive outreach/working relationship with all stakeholders including customers, governmental agencies, employment partners, service providers, etc
- Host orientations/community outreach events to share information about program services and the health care training enrollment processes to support achievement of the enrollment targets
- Become a subject matter expert in the eligibility requirements to ensure compliance with file and data management for HUD-CDBG grants
- Responsible for documenting outreach to more than 250 applications to pre-screen and collect documents for eligibility and enrollment for applicants for the CDBG grant
- Adhere to client PII and HIPPA confidentiality requirements of client records
- Identify and assist with referring to community resources to mitigate barriers to program participation, including but not necessarily limited to, health, mental health, housing, childcare, domestic violence issues
- Assist the Career Navigators to re-engage clients to support successful program completion
- Prepare and present weekly reports for outreach contacts, conversion from orientation to enrollment
- Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Executive Director
The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Multilingual or bilingual preferred
- 2+ years of experience performing Social Service and/or Case Management duties
- 1+ years of experience in Career Services and Recruiting
- 2+ years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive
- Handle employee and personnel inquiries with sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy
- Experience and knowledge of workforce and/or government contracts/programs
- Sharp attention to detail with exceptional organizational, analytical, research, and critical thinking skills, including the ability to perform and complete a high volume of work assignments with speed and accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and as a member or a team
- Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A Valid Driver’s License
Salary: $55,000-60,000 annually
Travel: Position may require local travel up to 50% of the time
