
Instructor- Workforce Development Program

Career TEAM is seeking an Instructor to serve the Greater Memphis Area. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of job seekers, providing tailored training through work readiness workshops, offering guidance on resume writing and interview techniques, and connecting them with job opportunities aligned with their career goals. The Instructor role is performed under the supervision of the WIOA Program Lead. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success:
- Conduct thorough interviews and assessments with job seekers to understand their career aspirations, technical skills, soft skills, and areas for improvement
- Utilize Career EDGE to provide training sessions to enhance job seekers' soft skills, including communication, time management, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Offer guidance and instruction on resume writing, cover letters, job search strategies, and interview preparation techniques
- Facilitate mock interviews, provide feedback, and offer coaching to job seekers to help them succeed in real job interviews
- Identify job opportunities that match job seekers' skills, aspirations, and training outcomes, fostering successful job placements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, advocating for job seekers and showcasing their strengths during placement discussions
- Collaborate closely with the team to deliver comprehensive support services, ensuring job seekers are well-prepared and confident in their job search journey
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, client progress, job placements, and employer engagements
- Stay informed about industry trends, job market dynamics, and employer expectations to provide relevant and effective support to job seekers
- Organize and facilitate workshops, job fairs, and networking events to connect job seekers with potential employers and enhance their job search skills
- Prepare and deliver reports on training outcomes, job placements, and success stories to demonstrate program effectiveness and impact
- Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset
- Other duties and projects as needed for the success of the program
The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include:
- Associate’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred
- 3+ years of experience in job development or training activities, preferably within Tennessee
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Drive
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
- Experience working with culturally diverse populations and at-risk individuals
- Exceptional time management abilities, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Willingness to uphold company core values and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration
- Experience and or knowledge of WIOA workforce development programs
- Training in Trauma Informed Care, evidence-based practice, and/or empathy-driven service delivery
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license
Pay: $55,000
Travel: The position may require local travel up to 30% of the time
