Career TEAM is a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering individuals through comprehensive workforce development programs. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Career Coordinator in Santa Maria, CA. The Career Coordinator will play a crucial role in our workforce development initiatives, focusing on outreach, recruitment, co-enrollment, case management, and supportive services for diverse populations, including immigrants, English language learners, people with disabilities, justice-involved individuals, and veterans. The Career Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating placements in subsidized work experience opportunities and developing and facilitating career workshops that support employment placement and retention.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success:
- Provide supervision and support to the part-time WEX Specialist to ensure that onboarding paperwork, timesheets, training plans, and measurable skills gains are properly documented
- Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program. Assess job seekers’ employment and training needs and abilities through interviewing, testing, and other methods
- Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation; ensure that case files have originals and/or copies of eligibility documentation
- Manage participant budgets for processing and administering support services and work experience
- Keep accurate records and documentation related to participant progress and program outcomes
- Conduct targeted outreach to specific populations and collaborate with community partners to promote program participation
- Facilitate the recruitment and enrollment process for individuals seeking workforce development opportunities
- Case management experience and the ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
- Experience in Workforce Development.
- Experience in recruiting or marketing services.
- Enter data into and otherwise use and process clients through any participant information system as required, and any other database as required by the workforce system
- Provide comprehensive case management services to participants, addressing barriers to employment and promoting skill development
- Coordinate and oversee placements of participants into paid work experiences, ensuring a smooth transition into the workforce
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers to facilitate job placements and monitor participant progress
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective program implementation and participant success
- Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks. Participate in all staff-related events as required, including but not limited to training, staff meetings, and individual supervision
To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- 2+ years of work experience combining elements of training, counseling, case management, or other services
- 2+ years of experience with computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Google suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive and data tracking systems
- Familiarity with diverse populations, including immigrants, English language learners, people with disabilities, justice-involved individuals, and veterans
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A Valid Driver’s License
Salary: $28-$32 per hour
Travel: Position may require local travel up to 50%
