About the Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will have the opportunity to work alongside key stakeholders to design, develop, and influence our data infrastructure to support Carefeed’s analytical business objectives.  This a pivotal role in a fast-growing startup where you will help define and drive success. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design, architect and implement scalable and robust data pipelines and storage solutions to meet business needs from the ground up 
• Integrate data from various sources into a unified data warehouse / data lake, ensuring data consistency and reliability. 
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes to ensure efficient data flow. 
• Implement data quality checks and governance policies to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards. 
• Work closely with cross function members of the business to understand data requirements and deliver high quality, reliable solutions. 

Required Skills:   

• Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced startup environment 
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and provide data insights 
• Experience with data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake or Databrick 
• Demonstrate ability to understand and communicate end-to-end data systems: from compute to ETL to Reporting to Analysis 
• Extensive knowledge of SQL query design and tuning for performance and accuracy 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in analytics, engineering, math, computer science, information technology or related discipline (or equivalent work experience). 
• 5+ years professional experience in data engineering/analytics  
• Prior work in the heathtech space is a plus 
• Experience using business intelligence reporting tools (Metabase, Tableau, PowerBI, Sisense etc.)  
• Experience with data streaming platform/tools (Kafka, Kineses, Spark, Flink, etc. )

Work Location: 1) On-site based in Cincinnati, OH  2) Hybrid based in Chicago, or 3) Fully Remote based in the USA  

Travel Requirement: Minimal travel to the Cincinnati Headquarters if remote.
