Who We Are

Join a rapidly growing company revolutionizing the trucking industry! Cargomatic is the #1 technology platform and digital marketplace for powering world-class, local trucking. Local trucking is the lifeblood of every regional economy, and yet this $82 billion industry still relies heavily on phone calls and fax machines. Cargomatic is transforming the way goods move around metropolitan areas by connecting shippers and commercial truck drivers with mobile technology. We are solving complex, real-world problems every day, and giving full transparency to the shipping process.

Cargomatic is seeking a motivated, results-driven Inside Sales Representative to help grow our customer base and expand relationships with existing customers. This role will focus on proactive outbound calling, uncovering new freight opportunities, re-engaging inactive accounts, and creating qualified opportunities for the broader sales organization.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, asking the right questions, and building relationships quickly. The ideal candidate is persistent, organized, commercially minded, and energized by finding new opportunities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You Will Own

  • Outbound Customer Engagement: Proactively call new prospects and existing customers to identify new freight opportunities, upcoming projects, lane needs, and bid activity.
  • Account Growth & Reactivation: Re-engage inactive and underutilized customers, understand what has changed in their business, and identify opportunities to bring volume back to Cargomatic.
  • Opportunity Qualification: Gather key shipment details including volume, lanes, equipment, timing, service requirements, and decision-making process to create qualified opportunities for Sales and Pricing.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate customer activity, follow-ups, and opportunity status in the CRM while consistently progressing prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Pricing, Customer Success, and Operations to develop solutions, respond quickly to customer needs, and convert opportunities into active business.
  • Performance & Growth: Meet or exceed activity and opportunity-generation goals, while continuously identifying new ways to improve customer engagement, conversion, and revenue growth.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with confidence making outbound calls and engaging customers at multiple levels.
  • Sales Mindset: A natural ability to uncover needs, ask effective questions, create urgency, and move conversations toward a clear next step.
  • Persistence & Initiative: A self-starter who is comfortable with high outbound activity, follow-up, rejection, and consistently working to create new opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Skills: The ability to build trust quickly and maintain professional relationships with both new prospects and long-standing customers.
  • Organization & Accountability: Strong time management and follow-through with the ability to manage a high volume of customer interactions, tasks, and opportunities.
  • Industry & Technical Agility: Transportation, freight brokerage, or logistics experience is preferred, along with the ability to quickly learn CRM tools, pricing platforms, and Cargomatic technology.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Generous paid time off including vacation, sick time, and company holidays.
  • Employee assistance program and wellness resources.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  • Collaborative, people-first culture focused on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
