The Role:

Carrot is seeking a Sales Associate to join our Commercial organisation. This role reports to the Commercial Director for EMEA and supports Carrot’s EMEA sales team through both direct lead generation and supporting partner relationships in the region. 

In this role, you will become a trusted resource for prospective clients and partners, developing relationships and acting as an initial point of contact for Carrot. You will primarily focus on researching target accounts within your assigned territory and conducting outreach through email, phone, and LinkedIn.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, who has experience in running successful outbound lead generation campaigns and is motivated to build a long-term career in sales. This role is ideal for a  B2B sales and/or partnerships professional and offers the opportunity to develop valuable commercial skills in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

The Team:

This role sits within Carrot’s global Commercial organisation and reports to the Commercial Director for EMEA. Upon joining you will be the sole Sales & Partnerships Associate in EMEA, however you  will work closely with colleagues across EMEA and the broader global sales team to support prospecting, pipeline generation, and commercial growth.

As one of the first points of contact between Carrot and prospective clients, this role plays an important part in creating a thoughtful, informed, and engaging early experience for prospects. You will partner closely with Account Executives and commercial leaders to research target accounts, generate qualified opportunities, and support the excited growth  of Carrot’s business globally.

We are looking for someone who is eager to get started, contribute quickly, and help us continue to evolve and succeed.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Research target accounts within your assigned territory to identify high-value prospects and opportunities
  • Conduct outbound outreach through email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage prospective clients
  • Build early relationships with prospects and act as an initial point of contact for Carrot
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to generate qualified opportunities for the sales pipeline
  • Support the global sales team by creating consistent, high-quality prospecting activity
  • Maintain diligent follow-up and accurate activity tracking in sales tools and systems
  • Take ownership of your outreach process, continuously learning and improving your approach
  • Represent Carrot in a professional, thoughtful, and inclusive way in all prospect interactions


Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year of sales experience in any industry or capacity
  • A fast learner who is curious and eager to build knowledge
  • Motivated by opportunity, growth, and achieving results
  • Goal-oriented, resilient, and comfortable working towards targets
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a consistent process and follow up effectively
  • Experience persevering through challenges or setbacks
  • Experience using sales tools such as Salesloft, Outreach, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms
  • Independent self-starter who also works well as part of a team
  • Passionate about expanding access to inclusive benefits and supporting historically underserved communities


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six to nine months of experience as a Sales Development Representative, Business Development Representative, or similar prospecting role
  • Professional experience in a client-facing role
  • Professional experience in benefits, healthcare, or a related industry
