- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Salesforce engineers, admins, and technical leads through coaching, feedback, and career development
- Act as a trusted partner and escalation point for the team, removing blockers and enabling success
- Manage project delivery across Salesforce Clouds, CPQ, CLM, and ecosystem applications, ensuring timelines, quality, and business outcomes are met
- Oversee platform strategy and architecture in partnership with technical leads, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
- Proactively identify and drive improvements to processes, integrations, and system functionality for efficiency and scale
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Operations, aligning technical delivery to business needs
- Monitor performance and resourcing using metrics and status reports, ensuring transparency and accountability
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements through sound governance and practices
The Team You'll Work With
You’ll be joining our highly collaborative Salesforce & Business Applications Team as an experienced Senior Engineering Manager. This role is responsible for leading our Salesforce engineering team and managing the broader application ecosystem that supports Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Legal, and Finance. In addition to day-to-day team leadership, this role will oversee project delivery, stakeholder alignment, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work with company leadership to help shape the future of our business systems and ensure they scale with growth.
About You
- 10+ years of total experience with at least 4+ years of management experience leading technical teams, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, CPQ, Marketing, Communities) and connected applications (CLM, ERP, integration platforms).
- Proven track record of delivering multiple complex Salesforce and ecosystem projects.
- Familiarity with environment and release management, CI/CD, and system governance practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and influence executive priorities.

Salary
Carta’s compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:
$208,000- $260,000 in San Francisco and New York
$197,000 - $247,000 in Seattle
Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors.
